Introduction Blog Post
I am thinking about creating a horror movie. It is a genre I know well and I there are many directions I can go with it. I am picturing a black and white, old-fashion style, with elements of stop-motion incorporated into it. I want to build suspense, but the kind that does not exactly lead anywhere, no jump scares or anything like that. Instead, I want to focus on creating this atmosphere of eeriness, like you're on edge and you don't know exactly why. The goal is overall just to unsettle the viewer as much as possible. Films that incorporate these elements I tend to watch frequently, and they are the type that intrigues me the most. Therefore, I want to recreate the feeling I get while I'm watching them.
I really like this idea! I think you could create a solid horror film since you have so much experience with the horror genre. Even though I'm not someone who enjoys horror, I'm excited to see what you create.
